PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)

The PTO is planning at least 10 exciting events throughout the 2026-2027 school year! From family celebrations and school traditions to special experiences for our students and staff, these events help bring our school community together and create lasting memories.

We are seeking business sponsors and individual donors to help make these events possible. Your support makes a meaningful impact and gives your business the opportunity to be seen and recognized by our school community.

Your sponsorship helps us continue creating fun, memorable, and meaningful experiences for our students, families, and staff. We would be incredibly grateful for your support in making this school year our best one yet! If you’d like to support the PTO, please contact us at pto@ompschool.org.

Here are some examples of our upcoming events:

Ice Cream Social:
Come help us kick off the school year with our annual PTO Ice Cream Social at Bowers Harbor Park! This year, we will be serving up delicious sno cones. This PTO-supported event is all about bringing our school community together, reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and creating memories as we begin a new year together.

Pumpkin Walk:
Spooky stories, glowing pumpkins, and fall fun! Join us for spooky storytelling at the school’s outdoor amphitheater, followed by a magical lighted pumpkin walk along the Karyl Tompkins Memorial Trail. Last year, our PTO and amazing volunteers prepared 150 pumpkins for students to carve, making this a true family favorite!

Diversity and Inclusion Month:
Each week in November will have its own cultural theme. World-broadening and kindness-generating programming, laying the groundwork for better citizens and a better world through learning.

OMPS Sled Race:
Each student can design and build their very own sled using only cardboard and duct tape, then put it to the test in a fun-filled race down our sledding hill! Enjoy the excitement, cheer on your classmates, and warm up afterward with hot chocolate and snacks provided by the PTO! A fun-filled winter tradition for the whole school community!

Holiday Concert:
The holiday concert is a special tradition where our students proudly take the stage to showcase all their hard work and dedication. After weeks of practicing and preparing, they have the opportunity to perform for family, friends, and our school community. It’s a memorable evening filled with music and celebration!

Spring Fling Family Dance:
This is an evening filled with music, laughter, and memories in the making for the whole family! Whether you’re ready to hit the dance floor or simply enjoy the festivities, there’s something for everyone. Come celebrate the arrival of spring and bring our school together for a fun-filled evening of dancing, smiles, and Panther pride!

Staff Appreciation Week:
Every day during this week, the PTO will do something extra special for the entire staff to show how much we love them! Catered lunch, chair massages, goodie bags, and other fun surprises.

Talent Show:
A student favorite! The talent show gives students the opportunity to step into the spotlight, share their unique talents, and showcase all the creativity and confidence that make our school so special. From singing and dancing to unique talents and everything in between, it’s sure to be entertaining.

Annual Pickleball Tournament:
Get dressed up, grab your paddle, and get ready for a fun-filled day of pickleball and friendly competition at Bowers Harbor Park! Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to have a great time, this annual event is the perfect way to bring our OMP community together. Best of all, the tournament helps raise funds to support the incredible work of our PTO and the students, staff, and school programs they support.

Panther Pride Day:
Our biggest end-of-year celebration is the perfect way to wrap up another amazing school year.Students can enjoy inflatables, field games, animal balloons and face painting.
